Vincenzo D'Aurora

The obit of Vincenzo D'Aurora appeared in the Steubenville (Ohio) Herald Star on December 26, 1958.
FOLLANSBEE — Vincenzo D'Aurora, 69, of 162 Locust Lane, Hooverson Heights, died at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday in his home after a lengthy illness.  He was born April 9, 1889, in Pettorano sul Gizio, Italy, the son of the late Pasqual and Liberate Allegretta D'Aurora.  Mr. D'Aurora came to the United States in 1901.  He had been a resident of Follansbee since 1920, coming from Ridgeway, Pennsylvania.  He had been employed by the Follansbee Steel Corp. for 32 years, having retired due to ill health.  Mr. D'Aurora was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, the Moose Lodge and the Garibaldi Lodge.  He leaves his widow, Mrs. Julia Noelli D'Aurora; ten daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Croce, Mrs. Natalena Ranalli, Mrs. Concetta Settimio and Mrs. Lucy Rotellini, all of Follansbee, Mrs. Mary Marzano of Cleveland, Mrs. Antoinette Stataro of Wellsburg, Mrs. Julia Bannon of Wheeling, Mrs. Donna Scarnecchia of Warren, Ohio, and Miss Anna D'Aurora and Miss Carmela D'Aurora, both at home; two sons, Patsy D'Aurora of Follansbee and Edward D'Aurora, at home; one brother, Dominic D'Aurora of Follansbee; one sister in Italy, and 18 grandchildren.  Friends may call at the James Funeral Home.  Requiem High Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Anthony's Church.  The Rev. Fr. John L. O'Reilly will officiate.  Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.  The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
