Barney Cianchette

Pittsfield, Oct. 13 - Barney Cianchette, 83 died at his home on South Main Street Wednesday evening after a short illness. He was born at Pettorano, Italy, July 10 1866.  He had lived in Pittsfield 40 years and had retired from farming.  Surviving are his widow, Theresa, a son, Joseph R. of Pittsfield; five daughters, Mrs. Shann Frederick, Mrs. Joseph Frost, Mrs. Paul Susi, Mrs. Peter Crunagle and Miss Clara Cianchette, all of Pittsfield: 21 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held at 2 pm. Saturday from the residence.  The rev. Edward H. Lynch of St. Agnes Catholic Church will conduct the service.  Burial will be in the Village Cemetery.
